Hey fellas! Just wanted to see if anyone has installed a subwoofer and amp in their truck and how you ran the power wire? I have a 2017 cascadia. So i assume i cant hook directly to the battery because its 24 volt? Can i hook to the distribution box above the batteries? Has anyone installed a sub and amp in a cascadia? How did you wire it? Thanks!!!!

Any bigger than this then youre an ahole (MAYBE a10")
Wires up easy, fills out the sound, wont give you subsonic range or rattle the next truck over's mirrors, but see my first comment....
m dubious that your entire truck is 24 v, thats probably starter onlyAttached Files:

I dont think my entire truck is 24 volt, but since the batteries are wired in a series i dont think im able to run a power wire directly to it. Not sure what you mean by the ahole comment?? I already have car audio equipment. I dont want to purchase more, and definitely dont want to purchase the sub you linked.

Anyway, some folks get annoyed when others blast their audio systems and it's especially noticeable in the bass range where that thump thump thump permeates much more than the rest of the sound.
As to where to tap in for power, if you have access to your inverter, that could be a good candidate on where to tap into some decent 12 volt power. It'll depend on how heavy duty the wires going to your inverter are, how much power (amperage) you're going to need and how the location of it all works. But, that would probably be the first place I'd look to consider.Last edited: Sep 6, 2022
skallagrime Thanks this. -
I see what youre saying. Im not planning on waking up my neighbors. I have poor hearing and i do want to have loud music while driving. Not at the rest area or truck stop.

Power wire will hook to the battery just fine. The batteries are wired in parallel where amps increase but voltage does not so it is a 12v system.

Thank you.

1st and foremost your truck... the hole truck is 12v...
Your batteries are wired parallel..
Pos to pos to pos to pos
Neg to neg to neg to neg
Look and see
This increasing AMPERAGE not voltage.. I E 12V but amperage from 2,400 to 4,500 depending on batteries
Series would be batteries wired pos to neg and neg to pos increasing VOLTAGE but not amperage... 2 Batts = 24v... 3 Batts = 36v.... 4 Batts = 48v
So yes you can just hook to any battery...Crude Truckin', Big Road Skateboard and Codycodycody11158 Thank this. -
Thank you.

I had I believe 2 12”s and amp in my sleeper and it would rumble and bumble. I used it for OTR so I took it all out for the extra room. It was wired from front to back under the drivers side carpet and on under the sleeper carpet.
@Diesel Dave could probably answer more about it. I only jammed a couple times lol.Diesel Dave Thanks this.
