UPS: One of the biggest strikes in American history is brewing - CNN
I wonder how this might affect Coyote? And it may also present an interesting dilemma about O/O's essentially crossing a picket line. I'm not sure yet what I'd do.

While I'm hopeful an equitable deal can be reached, crossing a picket line is a pretty big thing. I'm not saying anything would happen, but at the very least, it's the same me-first capitalism that's gotten us where we are over the last 40 years. And who knows what kind of retaliatory demands would be made during negotiations.

UPS is one of the best companies to work for. I read the whole article and I can't see how this is anything, but biting the hand that feeds them and quite well at that.

I didn't read the article but doesn't ups have some of the best pay and benefits?
I know a few guys that drive brown, couple package drivers and line haul, plus a few that work part time just for the insurance.
Good pay and basically free health insurance. Don't get me wrong those guys work their butts off. Especially around d here in winter. I wouldn't drive those trucks in some of that weather they doAnother Canadian driver, 77fib77 and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -
Friend that drives line haul I know makes dang good money but that truck has to go no matter the weather. Unless they close the interstate. He's been in some nasty blizzards up and down I-29 in sd.nd

Well, it may be seen as "biting the hand that feeds us," because it's true that we feeder drivers are taken care of very well.
But on the package car side, you've got new employee classifications, personal vehicle deliveries, work rule issues, new driver-facing cameras...
I have more than myself to think about in this upcoming contract. And issues that face them now may face me later. So best to nip it in the bud now.Another Canadian driver, D.Tibbitt, Derailed and 3 others Thank this. -
