I tip my hat to them if they are running that us50 road thru austin nevada and that big mountain range. Tiny little road for a load that wide, if im thinking correct about where they are at.. Havent been thru there in forever though so i could be mistaken.CAXPT, FerrissWheel, God prefers Diesels and 2 others Thank this.

I’m not sure if they went that far or not. We went south/west at us 6 down to Tonopah. Doesn’t matter where they were going, they were going to be putting in work. Most of those roads have no shoulder and not really anywhere to put traffic coming at you. They were running with Nevada state patrol so that helps.CAXPT, FerrissWheel, Feedman and 2 others Thank this.

According to one scale master in Ohio this banner is completely impossible to read.

if anything I figured he’d be whining about not being able to tell what state you’re plated in…..CAXPT, FerrissWheel, D.Tibbitt and 5 others Thank this.

You sir are clearly a danger to everyone on the road, and a menace to society.
And they better #### well get used to it as these ####ing collision mitigation systems are forced down everyone’s throats.Gearjammin' Penguin, singlescrewshaker, CAXPT and 8 others Thank this. -
He actually said he would rather I cover the whole plate than have a hole in the banner.
Honestly I'm loving the system. Adaptive cruise down to 0 means I don't have to touch the pedals in stop and go traffic. It's the whole reason I chose to get it when I ordered the truck.
Feller calmed down when I asked him to come out and look at it. After asking him for suggestions on where else to put it he didn't have an answer and let it go.
Either way first order of business when I get home is an aluminum sign under the bumper.CAXPT, FerrissWheel, D.Tibbitt and 6 others Thank this. -
I’ll be interested to see what you come up with. There’s a good chance my next truck will be an 880 with collision mitigation (double yuck). I would like to keep running a hard sign.
Have you had any issues with a banner over the sensor up front? The engineers keep telling us as long as it’s not metal it won’t effect anything.
This was the least expensive folding sign I could find. It’s held up great.CAXPT, FerrissWheel, cke and 4 others Thank this. -
That’s a great strategy to have the officer try to find a better place for it. Worked for me multiple times when I was stopped because my trailer license plate was vertical instead of horizontal. They never could come up with a better place and would just give up on the idea.CAXPT, FerrissWheel, D.Tibbitt and 5 others Thank this.

That's the one I ordered today. I remember you posting about it here in the past.
I asked the dealer and they said nothing can be in front of the radar.
I don't know what the Paccar system is like but I've had no issues with the Detroit system in this truck. 22K miles so far. It has actually saved me a few times when somebody cut in front and slammed their brakes. It hit the brakes, turned on the hazards, and set off the horn faster than I could do anything.CAXPT, FerrissWheel, D.Tibbitt and 5 others Thank this.
