After a while ... what is it now more than 6 years for me? ...reading these threads. I came to the conclusion that a member should indeed try to rejoice the positive inputs for his own peace of mind and try to give some credit to the poster but always with a grain of salt.
It is also better to write how well you do vs how miserable you struggle because the latter won't give you a desired positive feedback, quite the opposite it will drag deeper into the state of frustration. In other words you get more "thank you" clicks when you gross $15k on 2ooo weekly miles.
It is a mistake, however, to try to measure your own accomplishments with those of others because there's indeed that formidable trap of dealing with nothing more but an internet character...which may not be too different from the one you can find in a comic book. And as long as you're not obsessed with what others post, then that's perfect time to spend here.

 

I’ve been following you for years Joe, one of the few people I follow here . Always enjoyed your point of view and postings.

There is quite a few great perspectives us members gain from those that share their experiences and expectations .

 

Oh thank you but I am a miserable, self loathing owner operator with one truck and one trailer and the trailer is a dry van in addition to that....And lately got lazy too. All right I am patting myself on the back which means I need another drink...he he he he.

How is it that Pilot in Albany GA can charge $5.05 and Quicktrip 60 miles north only wants $4.35???

Everyone wants to blame Brandon, and I would be one of those. But at the same time it kinda feels like the big corporations are taking advantage of his policies.

This is in no way meant to be a political statement in any way. It's more a question of corporate greed in a tough time.

 

There's is plenty of people pulling in millions per year trading all kinds of different things in the stock market.. People think buying and selling shares of a company is all there is to trading... there's thousands and thousands of people with their own funds set up pulling in millions every year , doing nothing but trading different markets, and yet they never trade an actual stock... it is not impossible by any means... it takes research, knowledge and experience in the market to know how to be successful... No different than learning the freight market... I'm not sure why that's such a foreign concept to some people... Nobody says you can just deposit money in a trading account and get rich.... Just like ur not gonna buy a truck and go trucking to get rich..... But if u study and read and are always constantly learning from mistakes you can find opportunities to scratch and claw your way....
