Yeah, that's always my worry even if I have permission from the truck stop or not.DeereRunner97, cke, singlescrewshaker and 5 others Thank this.

My buddy dropped his trailer, company driver, to go to the movies one Sat afternoon. He came back to a wrecker hooking up to it and ending up having to pay $250 for them to leave it. He wasn't aware dropping trailers without permission from the truck stop wasn't allowed. In his defense, he was new to OTR.DeereRunner97, cke, singlescrewshaker and 6 others Thank this.

Yeah man that stinks. If I don't have permission to drop my trailer I am not leaving. I normally drag it around with me everywhere I go but last night was only the second time this year I have unhooked and a driver decided to park his bobtail truck in front of my trailer.
This has been a weird year for me in trucking.DeereRunner97, D.Tibbitt, IH9300SBA and 9 others Thank this. -

This is the kind of crap that has me seriously considering leaving the industry. The attitude of the vast majority of so called drivers anymore is just pathetic.
The guy that hit us acted like we were wrong for being upset that he backed into our truck. Like we were supposed to just be ok with it. Its nuts man, just absolutely nuts, and it's only going to get worse.pete781693, DeereRunner97, Crusader66 and 12 others Thank this. -
That’s what I was talking about.DeereRunner97, PoleCrusher, cke and 2 others Thank this.

I agree, part of me is very glad to be off of the road at this time.
As frustrating as it is, just remember that you all are the professionals. If you give into your ire and frustrations, then you might as well get in there and wrestle with the pigs.
And I know you are better than that.Last edited: Sep 19, 2022
