It never fails anytime I do a favor that includes Pharr, Houston or Laredo, it goes poorly.
The major freeways through Houston are closed this weekend. It took almost 4 hours to come in on US 59 to the closed point, move over to the 610 jump onto the 288 and wind my way to the I 69 with doubles with another driver following me with another set of doubles. Not getting back to the house tonight.

I gave the same description basically on FB about those goofy looking rings.
Remember when we were kids on the farm, a rowdy cow could be handled by pinching its nostrils with your thumb and finger?
I can only imagine how they blow their nose with all the snott and crap it collects….DeereRunner97, singlescrewshaker, Flint1 and 10 others Thank this. -
Not sure which gas burner those had, but the early R’s had a 702 or 704 or something like that 6 cylinder gas burner. The emergency version had dual distributors as well as dual carbs in case one failed, the other kept the engine going.
This is the engine in the R setting in Chareleston WV, it’s an old retired fire station water truck….

Very possible, Hall Scott was a big name back in those days.
I have a friend who would know the answer though….DeereRunner97, singlescrewshaker, Flint1 and 7 others Thank this. -
I didn't get a chance to look under the hood. I wish the owner was standing right there. I know they had the 707 gas and the 711 diesel, which were actually the same cubes but the 711 was diesel. And a bunch of odd ball smaller engines that's as rare as hens teeth now.
