If I'm heading north and want to go home I can't make the turn by button hooking or jug handling. I can only make the turn by being completely on the west shoulder.
Should I move?
Go a mile down the road and turn around in an uncontrolled intersection in the dark?
Drive around the section to come in heading south?
Or just turn in the driveway like I have 196 times?

If I was going northbound, I would drive on the west shoulder to make the turn also.

The CDL Manuals for all 50 states unanimously use the definitions I use for jug handle and buttonhook.

Not Connecticut, in the latest revision. Get a copy. They define it differently.

So you do NOT have the right away on that part of the road way, PERIOD!

You are entering into it, you have to wait to clear the intersection so be it.

You either have to wait, or go down the road, turn around and make a left or find an alternate route if she would not move.

It isn't her problem, it is yours, and that is the rub.

Even if the lane is clear and a car pulls up, they have the right a way in that lane.

I've bullied my way through a lot of intersections. I'm bigger and more important. Just kidding, sort of.
But I figure it's a lot safer for me to bully my way past and intersection than to sit in the middle of the road. Nobody pays attention to anything anymore. Is it really that big of an inconvenience for a car to put it in reverse and back up 5 feet?
But I've never been out of the midwest

More like back up 15 or 20 feet. She flipped me the bird over that. And the fact I blew the air horn. But she wouldn't back up before I blew the air horn.
