That's odd because they run the same axles and drive trains as everyone else except maybe MackMAMservices, MartinFromBC, Another Canadian driver and 1 other person Thank this.

I think it's just subtly lower quality of components. Drag links, torque rods, torsion bar, all that stuff. They get kinda loose pretty quick, while remaining perfectly safe and not specifically requiring replacement. So either you are completely rebuilding your suspension for $5k+ every 200,000 miles, or you just put up with the general Freightshaker sloppiness.Another Canadian driver and Oxbow Thank this.

They're all made by the same people though. TRP, Stemco, Eaton, Meritor etc etc.MartinFromBC, Another Canadian driver and PermanentTourist Thank this.

The caster specs. have some to do with this also. Caster for trucks are set to a point to minimize turning radius. Cars do not need the harsh caster spec. BMW and Mercedes will have some oddball caster sets but to be fair you also have to have a tension bar to correctly set toe adjustments on these as well.Another Canadian driver and PermanentTourist Thank this.

Then I don't know. Maybe it's one of those anti-Placebo effects... we expect a Freightliners to have bad ride quality, so we notice it more. Meanwhile we make excuses for Peterbilts and such even though the ride quality is the same.
Also, I'm not sure if it's Kenworth or Peterbilt, but some of those have those u-shaped springs instead of the usual Freightliner leaf springs. Maybe that helps.Another Canadian driver and ProfessionalNoticer Thank this. -
