There’s a pullout at the 120 and you can walk down to the river. You’ll be coming down a little hill and once you cross the bridge it will be on your right. I’m not sure if the visitor center on top of Lolo Pass will still be open or not. There’s a small pond and a little hiking trail up there.

It can make you a bit bleary eyed at night watching for critters, but it is worth doing at least once during the day.snowman1980, Siinman, nikmirbre and 5 others Thank this.

I would take highway 12 anyday verses the 95 north. The first time I took it I thought this sucks and after I made my mind up it was a 5 and a half hour ride to missoula I enjoyed it. It has alot of curves 25 to 30 miles per hour but it scenery you won't regret seeing.

You are right. But I drove it in a pickup. One of most scenic drives I’ve ever seen.snowman1980, D.Tibbitt and Concorde Thank this.

Yes you sure can. One of my favorite drives in that area. Just make sure not to brave it in the winter time unless you plan on some fun times. Lots of curves close to the river. Watch out for the deer if you drive at night. they tend to get stuck on the road and cannot get back up the edges in time.
