If you are thinking about hiring on to JCT, be prepared for excellent pay and Benefits, Also be prepared to be harrassed at every turn !! Cheated out of miles and pay at every opportunity !! This is a Union Co. (Teamsters Carhaul) And the Union is running scared and is selling out the Drivers! Agreeing with the Co's. (Several) blatantly ignoring our contract ! Very poor and abusive management, that constantly violates dispatch procedures and seniority, with the blatant intention of causing unrest among drivers, knowing full well that this generates Grievances and then complains about losing money! Then they cry about how the Union is costing them money, when it's their own actions that cause the problem in the first place.

Why don't you go drive a truck for the Teamsters? OH yeah they don't have any trucks. They just take your money and try to hold the company hostage. Apparently the company grew some balls and are standing up to the Teamsters.

HMMMM.... I guess that's all they teach in Truck Driver Schools these days...... But from all the trash you hear on the C.B. I should've known some wierdo would have something stupid to say!

yeah? well im sick of hearing about how having a union card makes you some sort of weasel crook, and that you arent allowed to have a positive opinion of the ONLY organization that HAS and WILL ever do anything for truck drivers.
Truck drivers screw themselves, look at the millions of threads about how EVERY company is bad. then look at all the threads posting bs cb radio nonsense about what someone else heard about the teamsters. then go look around at the truckstop at all the parked trucks with drivers who havent been home in weeks and arent being compensated at all while waiting for another 200 mile run.
But thats ok, I give up, trucking is literally going to ####, and drivers have no one to blame except themselves. Gee, i wonder why trucking was so good 30 years ago, maybe because people weren't short sighted and misinformed, and they went home more, got paid more, and maybe even ENJOYED their job because they had a decent union contract.
No one made the excuse then about how this is a lifestyle. plumbing isnt a lifestyle. welding isnt a lifestyle. carpentry isnt a lifestyle. Drivers are just in denial of the fact that they get screwed pretty much every second they are in the drivers seat for some crap company paying 30 cpm.. -
Bravo my sentiments exactly, But IF you worked in Teamster Car Haul as I do, YOU would KNOW what I'm talking about. I just got kicked off the teamster thread because i was defending the union to some Idiot called Road kill, he didn't like what i had to say so he complained and got the thread closed. some people can't stand hearing the truth and will do anything to block it including lie....sorry i shouldn't call him an idiot but it's hard to mistake the obvious!!

The problem is these guy's are brainwashed. It's crazy the way they hate the unions and then complain about the unfair treatment they get from their bottom feeder company.
I don't get it!Beechvtail and walleye Thank this. -
yeah, i have heard about teamster car haul, it sucks whats happening with that, and everything else. I don't even know where to look when the economy DOES get better, there are going to be so many ###### people in line from layoff at these places.
at this point im just looking for something that has a small enough niche that there isnt that much competition for it, like maybe blue linx or alro steel or linde gasses. Or maybe i'll get REALLY lucky and the CSX railroad will call me, and i can just go work at the rail yard all day and get paid better than being a schmuck in a truck. -
Not Teamster now but was when I drove for CF back in 1988 & will say this, I got paid well for the work I did, had good benefits & was home every day.
I went seeking other adventures when they (CF) started cutting those with low seniority before they folded to bust the union out.
I am doing well as a non-union driver but wouldn't hesitate jumping back in for a good position with the right company.cisco Thanks this.
