Don’t worry about that. When it comes to driving at night and then the rain, I lean towards slowing things down myself. That’s actually my least favorite combination is night driving in pouring rain. I’ll take snow or wind any day over that. Lol
I read this entire thread. It says a lot about you that you didn’t clock that trainer you had. Trust me it gets better.

True, I put my truck in the shop over the weekend and they just did patch jobs to get me moving again. My manager is quick to answer but if it's night/weekend shift good luck. Definitely don't care about the driver. They have such high turnover that the company culture seems to be don't get attached to any of the driversLilRedRidingHood, Boondock, jmarc77 and 3 others Thank this.

They want me to drive in the rain like this

I think you'll be ok. Just careful about parking on the side of the road. Mostly not necessary at all.
-
Yeah can’t even see the road. I’d leave it parked
-
Don't wanna be parked here but it was the first place I could get to off the highway. Still have 100 miles to go and even further to a truck stop
Waiting on a final verdict, they just said they don't care keep going, get it fixed when I canLilRedRidingHood Thanks this. -
Did you miss something on your pre trip?
I carry at least one spare at all times as I have seen them come apart with no sign/warning.Ktucker17 Thanks this. -
Also duct tape is good to have along with a few zip ties. You can always switch a good passenger side wiper to the drivers side and zip tie the broken one in place to get off the highway.
Don't just run the wiper with no blade attached if you can avoid it. Could end up with more down time waiting for a replacement winshield.LilRedRidingHood and Ktucker17 Thank this. -
No they were fine all week through these hurricane remnants and the 200 miles I did today. Forecast says the rain should stop soon so hopefully I can get rolling againLilRedRidingHood Thanks this.

The wiper should be able to clip back on into place.
ncmickey, bryan21384 and InTooDeep Thank this.
