If any of you guys have a hi-speed internet connection I think you should
know that Hulu.com has excellent programming in case your sitting at a
stop with nothing to do. I just watched a program on Hulu Desktop about
oversized load hauling. The program is called Dangerous Drives. Its listed
in the just added menu. It was great and you kind get a true perspective
of what is involved in some everyday situations of long haul trucking.
There were some challenging events that was shown. The company the
drivers work for is B&K, a private company. You have to be a veteran driver
with nerves of steele to drive for them, the owner pretty much tells you
that at the beginning of the segment. Just thought I'd share this with you
guys. If you watch tell us what you think about it.

I've been using Hulu since its closed Beta. Fantastic service!

Actually, we haven't used cable TV in over 5 years, between Netflix, Hulu, and a few other sources.

I did finally break down yesterday and order HD though since the bundle they gave me is locked in for 2 years in pricing, and it was only a $25 difference in what I was paying just for internet. It also has DVR service. Its mostly for the wife and kids, but I could see the advantage for me as well.

Do you have a satellite reciever in your truck. I was thinking about
getting that and a VuQube when the day I finally get on the road
solo. But have to make it through training first. HD satellite service
is not so overpriced like it used to be.

HD isn't really necessary on a "truck-sized" television.

    kenkenni,

I have Directv in a vehicle, yes you don't need HD.
We have it in our house and the monthly receiver cost for the receiver in the vehicle is $ 5 .
    Works great!
