US 95 in Idaho is beautiful. I like those little settlements along the Salmon River.

That's a helluva an idea. I never thought of that. You can basically take that road all the way to Umatilla or Hermiston (if my memory is correct). It seems like a nice road also to put as another feather in your cap. I believe you can get a good 180 miles out of this.

Unless you're under 12', I don't recommend it. Those low tunnels will #### up your day

90, 82, 12 and 5 should be the best bet from ID to Portland. Skips all the major jams in Seattle, Tacoma, JBLM, Centralia and Chehalis.
Route I take up to the Canadian border and back is usually 84, 97, 82, 90 and 95/2 -
It helps that I drive 14 pretty regularly in my 4 wheeler, TBCH

Closest town to us is Camas, and Washougal isn't too much further out than that. Don't recall a spot where the road is bolted to a cliff, tho
