Why is the Oregon weight-distance tax so high?

I thought when the CDL came along it was to simplify all this into the IFTA fold but that was somebody blowin smoke up somebodys hind end , just another big money grab.
If you knew where that money went you'd say hmmmm.

 

My guess is he’s talking about the Cape Horn area.

 

It's all a scam. NY is part of IFTA too yet they charge their own version NYHUT on top of it.

 

And they don' fix the roads either.

BTW NY state auditor says empty weight method is the cheapest...

 

Ten4. I've always used the weight method anyway so I've been getting lucky it seems.

 

They monitor IFTA looking for carriers reporting NY miles and no HUT and bill those discovered with 80K loaded weight method. Had to research and file the actual HUT quarters in arrears reduced a large bill by 2/3 rds.
