Missus Skillet is hard at work on our bi-monthly bacon fry.

Five pounds of gorgeous thick cut bacon from the meat store......and NONE of it is ready yet!

The house smells like.......what I always thought Heaven smells like.....

    BACON!

I think you accomplished your goal Dave, 4 million views and 2600 replies!

Puckering. That's some serious snow. Only seen snow like that twice in my life in Southern, WI at least. Winters of '77 and '78 oh baby!
Then the infamous blizzard in February of 2008.
Was anyone here stuck in that gnarly mess from Chicago to Madison?

I drove to work on a parallel road to I90 that morning seeing that the interstate was backed up. 2004 Ford Taurus and the plowed bank was to the middle of my driver window. No mountains here. We don't expect that as normal. It dawned on me how severe this storm was when to my surprise a blackhawk helicopter came cooking overhead medevac'n critical stranded drivers off the road. State patrol and the National Guard were running snowmobiles everywhere delivering fuel and other essentials. A very interesting 18 mile trip to work that morning with no managers present and the doors locked.

What we gained that day as many of you have probably noticed are remote controlled gates limiting access to interstate on-ramps now in Wisconsin.
My employer? They got their butts chewed for risking lives needlessly with 4 hour minimum pay and no fault tardy or absence during county announced weather emergencies. Years later it was nice to share my experiences with local law enforcement as many just don't understand why people would risk their own and rescue personnel safety driving in such treacherous conditions. Chasing that dollar and doing what they are required to. Perspective.

We got this pallet jack as part of the compensation from the last load if anyone needs to borrow it.

    Retail value -$426.00

You wouldn't think an old man and a cat could lift that in and out of the trailer.

We eat scrapple here. It’s more of an eastern PA thing because I had never seen nor heard about it till the Philly biotch moved in.

You either love it or hate it. I can’t say I love it but I’m a pig and eat mostly anything.
