We have that option nearly every Friday here at the "Home". Then there is "Cravin Catfish" up at Sherman, MS. Never
have eaten any of Dave's Blue cats, seen them in the boat tho. Prefer the TN river channel cats, bout 2 pounds and a foot long.
Skin, gut, chop top and bottom, dip in mix of milk and beaten eggs. Shake up in a sack of cornmeal with p and s added, drop in
splattering grease, oil whatever you prefer. Bout 3 big onion slice and the hushpuppies.

 

channel cat ain't bad, pretty good actually , spotted cat flathead appaloosa is preferred by many.

 

Thers a catfish joint in austin called catfish parlor. They used to be real good. Stop by for lunch and get fresh cooked catfish......then.......i think they changed owners or for some reason decided to just have the fish pre-cooked and sitting under a freaking heat lamp for lunch customers ala truck stop. I couldnt believe it and quit eating there.

In other news, mom got a clean report. nothing broken or cracked. shes gonna spend a couple days with me.

I've been reading back this week through her old posts.
We need more people like her, and less of the jealous fools that trash talked her because she is a great woman. Jealous people do weird things!
