I'm assuming they still stay there.. I would be okay with the rooms at building 2.. If there were just a few things in there.. A tv and a bathroom.. Mainly just your own bathroom.. I'm to lazy to get up and walk 100 feet to take care of things.. Lol...

I'm kinda lookin forward to getting back to the yard.. My truck needs a few baths and a vacuuming..

yeah, my trailer's Fed DOT inspection is due on Friday... Told my DM about it... I wonder if ill make it to ANY terminal by then.

I delivered one of my 2 loads in Spokane today. Boy this one was messed up... Must be a new customer or something. Mac 27 had no info! So I look up the address to figure out where I am going... wouldnt you know it, the address is in a small commerce area with tight streets that trucks pulling a 53' trailer have no business in. I got there early and they had no problem with that... They told me to back it into the alley and they will take it.
I told them "No, its cool, its only 2 boxes, I can just take them off the back for you out in the street." IMHO it would have taken me longer to back into that alley than to just bring them the boxes. Im not even going to mess with x-pay to get paid for driver unload for 2 boxes about 10 lbs each. 10 cents isn't worth what I have to do to get paid for that one. LOL I dont know how we got that one for only 2 cases. It probably should have went fed ex or ups.

Tomorrow I have the Safeway DC in Spokane so looks like I'm sitting at the Petro on exit 272 all day unless I get lucky and get a preset tonight that takes me near a terminal, then my DM will have to get SW to take their load early.

What's funny with the big chains vs. the little guys.. the little guys welcome you come early or if you are late they are really forgiving. The chains... WONT take you early and raise a huge stink if you are late....lol

Have no idea who I pissed off. Just think it was the luck of the draw that a "company" guy was in the area. A lease operator would have told them to go piss up a rope. (Don't know where I got that phrase but don't it paint a purty picture :biggrin_25525:)

(hum the theme song to the Twilight Zone for this) Imagine this, if you will, a world. A world where shippers and rcvrs only have 2 doors, and they are at right angles to each other. The only way 2 trucks with 53' tlrs can both get in is, 1 has to do a blind side javk knife and the other a sight side. Thank God the other driver did the blind!!!!

For 4 stops in the Boston area AND that 1 being the only bad 1, I consider myself very, very lucky.

What is the Conley, Ga terminal like? Has anybody attended school there? I was just wondering how big/small the terminal is and what to expect from the staff? Any info would be greatly appreciated...

I was in the area, but I was preoccupied on another load.

with my luck I would've been stuck with the blindside parallel alley dock into an unlit garage with 1in clearance on each side which even a yard dog with a 40ft trailer wouldn't be able to do but they need you in that door NOW!

We have a terminal in Conley? I've been to the Central Detention Facility there. Maybe the terminal is nearby? :biggrin_25512:
