From what I have read, you should check into mail hauling. Pay is good and most of them are trying to go to a "relay system" or as some term it, "meet & turn".

Lots of regional and dedicated in my area of central TX, just need to get some recent job history and time on the road. Tons of FB, and belly dumps as well, with holiday season coming up mail is going to be huge too.

I held onto my license for over ten years and never used it and got hired by local companies. Try YRC they have free training and are alllll over the country. Once you ask and apply you will be surprised who takes you. They have sooo many different types of work.

My school does a universal app and they are on the list. There are a couple I like better once we get our CLP on the 29th if my first choices havent reached out I will begin a serious applicant campaign. YRC is in my top 5 picks, I am just not ready to call them yet, If I remember correctly they have a union and that is the major reason I liked them.

Belly dumps a great job, just keep some momentum up, its embarrassing to get stuck more than occasionally.
You don't want to be that guy who gets a push daily :)

Yeah I would need training from the company for the belly dumps, but it looks interesting. Every time I go from the house to FT hood or Temple I see them in a convoy 3 to 5 trucks deep. They also go the full TX speed limit and have the roll out tarps on the trailers.

And on the flipside as a male, I wouldn’t be entirely comfortable training a female either. All the woman has to do is say you tried something and that’s it, your career and your life as you know it is over. Maybe you as a trainer and a dude correct her, maybe you don’t pass her, maybe you guys just don’t get along. Too risky going both ways in my opinion.
    Thank you, @Lennythedriver.
You are the first to mention that.
    Facts should matter, not feelings.

    I love everything about women.
I'd train them before I ever trained a male.

You are a blessing for the MANKIND.
Pun intended. May an angel watch over you, driver.
Add a dual lens windshield camera, for your protection.
You never know. Until you find out, one day.

    MartinFromBC Thanks this.

It really is a great job, I enjoy driving belly dump.

Honestly if I never drove anything else ever again, that would be fine with me.
Its just the right mix of challenge, yet not hard to.
You soon learn the right speed, exactly when to open the doors, and how to lay a perfect spread.

A tri axle, hooked to a tri drive, holds a good amount of material to, amazing how fast you can build roads, or fill up low spots. Building road is a fabulous job, and you get lots of practice backing up to, as often we back out to a wide spot to turn around.
My last week on a belly dump, i bet that more than 100 miles were in reverse.

    Heck ya, me to.

Having trained plenty of both, it seems clear to me that women listen better, communicate better, learn quicker, and don't feel the need to argue about anything and everything, especially if they don't have a clue wtf they are talking about...yet guys will.
Women are usually easier on my trucks to.
Guys are often jealous of people who know more than they do, are better drivers than they are, and can out work them.

Where often under the same circumstances, instead of being jealous, and getting confrontational/argumentative, the woman instead strives to better herself, and wants to be great at the job, instead of just thinking they are great, when they are not .

Just look around this forum for examples, when a great woman driver posts, some boys get jealous of them, and then post personal attacks, till they've had enough, and leave.

The boys know that the woman is better than they are, so jealousy rears its ugly head.

Instead of thanking her for teaching them, sharing their wisdom and experiences.
