I don’t have a problem understanding you at all. Great to see your success. If people don’t understand that a phone ringing off the hook is a figure of speech then that’s not your problem.lynchy, SL3406, singlescrewshaker and 13 others Thank this.

I'm glad to see he's making it. That being said, this probably isn't isn't the best time for him to be patting himself on the back.
There are a lot of single truck operators out there that are in a world of trouble financially. They're angry and they're scared and some of them are seeing everything they worked for slip through their fingers.
My advice to @AgPilot1 would be to keep on doing what he's doing if he's comfortable with it but other than that dial down the self congratulatory routine.MACK E-6, blairandgretchen and Constant Learner Thank this. -
I didn’t post to congratulate myself. Just trying to show it’s still possible to do ok. Seriously how can I make be making money when the sky is falling. I guess this forum is for people that fall in line and join the pity party.singlescrewshaker, MartinFromBC, Siinman and 1 other person Thank this.

Whether or not you're actually making money...as in net profit...remains to be seen. There's a lot more to this business than you know about.
In the meantime I wouldn't be describing the people in this forum as having a pity party. A lot of our members are going through a rough time but I haven't heard any of them ask for sympathy.
I have heard them offer you encouragement and advice. They don't need to know what you know...or in this case don't know.MACK E-6, rollin coal, SL3406 and 2 others Thank this. -
I certainly hope that's a joke.singlescrewshaker and RJM1953 Thank this.

Not too long ago you could open up the load board and see countless $4-$5 a mile loads, on $2000+ revenue consistently too.
Now you have to actually work to get $3+ a mile.
Comparing now to then yeah the sky is falling.
Flatbed is still better than van, van drivers are eating Ramen right now.
We take on soo much cost, risk and responsibilities to just "do ok" -
A guy that has a plan to put his investment to work. There is nothing wrong with this if he has the money to do that.Czar_Zero, singlescrewshaker, Long FLD and 2 others Thank this.

I've done some stuff that my family (parents/siblings) thought I was completely nuts but sometimes you got to just forge your own path you know? I'm certain that nowadays they wouldn't question a single thing that I come up with. Haha. Not everyone does things the same way that the public does it nor prior generations. For example...My family was very big that if your going to do something, it has to be done by either yourself or fellow family members. Hiring on trusted people wasnt really a viable option.blairandgretchen, God prefers Diesels, Long FLD and 7 others Thank this.
