Yeah, had to be home for awhile so i sold my truck and took a job as a project manager for a pool company. Only fun I have had is when our driver was out and I had to run stone and pull our excavator. The rest is pretty much dealing with filthy rich, hard to please A hole customers.
When everything settles down at home I see buying another truck, loading the old lady up and hitting the road again. I don't think the itch ever goes away, you just don't realize it until you do something that sucks worse. Lol

tramm01, you will go far! I loved training people like you and usually picked something up in the process. What an awesome mindset! I know all too well of those smart people and why i bailed on healthcare engineering.

I'm gonna forgive you for excluding Johnny, Willie and Chris since they defined Outlaw.

Everyone knows Hank was the King.;)

I've ditched the truck twice, trailers three time, losing my load and the trailer in the ditch 1 of those times.
Always managed to drive the truck away.
Big snow banks are my friend, they help me keep on the road, trailer mostly as it wags its tail, slaps the snow bank, and shoots back across the road.

Anyone who has logged in the interior, and hasn't bounced off a few snow banks, is still a brand new driver, and running slow. As soon as they pick up the pace, its a regular occurrence.
We call them divets, and I am responsible for causing a lot of divets.

Not having wrecked a logging truck or two, is a few drivers.

Your truck now, was used when I bought it, and had been flopped on its side already.
How i didn't flop it a few times is a miracle. I considered jumping out of it a couple times myself.
If the seat smells like ####, that was probably 1 of those times.

There's a nice little fiberglass patch in the roof, behind the speaker, probably from that. Vehicle history report said it was flopped in the mid 80s.

Isn't that a driving technique to slow down off of beaver slides in the Winter. Asking for a friend. :headbang:

I hear that brother . when i was working those landscape jobs up in the northwest . i heard lots of similar stories from the superintendents... One guy told me they completed an entire 6 month job. Over million dollar job with labor and materials and when they completed the job, the customer flew out from new york in a private jet and told them to tear it all up because he didnt like the color of the stone!

Obviously they paid to tear it down and build it again but im not sure if theres a guy on earth that wouldnt be pissed off over that

Logging rule #4- don't lock your doors or wear a seat belt in the brush. You might have to bail.

New mexico state highway 96 is an absolute goat path... Not sure why they routed me down that way being 11-6 wide... Its 10ft wide lane with no shoulder at all .. I wouldnt even drive down that road bobtail.. Had enough fun for the day, to say the least.. 6 miles from delivery in the morning
