Exactly. They just got rid of the gauge because they've got the ECM programmed to not let you burn it up. No sense in having a gauge when the computer is controlling fuel. Not like the old days when the driver could actually hurt the engine if they couldn't tell how hot the exhaust was. 20+ years ago it was essential. These days not so much.

scangauge is able show the value , i see the value of egt. on epa10 models it may go up to 850F, on ghg17 model no more than 820F

I thought the same thing just didn't feel like arguing about it.armo Thanks this.

Yep that's why I mentioned RAWZE they know guys that can properly tune a deleted isx/X15 and not melt it down
-
I disagree on not having one. Once tuning starts and Air fuel ratios are messed with while systems are taken off that reduce exhaust heat aka EGR systems, without having a gauge you’re essentially setting yourself up for failure because I don’t think many people understand bumping hp up from 450 to 550 means more heat and they end up burning the top ends then making statements without know what they are talking about.
The system might have the sensor but a lack of a gauge is the issue and the lack of a tuner insisting on adding one before they touch an ecm tells me that tuner is worthless and knows nothing about anything. -
I was talking about stock engines. Not needed. Tuning is an entirely different scenario.LoneRanger Thanks this.

Like I said that's why I didn't say anything never fails to Start an arrangement lolAModelCat Thanks this.

I did mention that it was left to the ecm to handle things. So I guess a miscommunication.
