The sociopathic narcissistic manner in his crimes means that he had to allow the public and police see what he was doing. The methodology and the types of women made certain the police knew it was one individual. The lack of covering up or hiding his crime is often how serial killers boast until they are caught. Though he never got caught, studies of serial killers that have been caught confirm this. I know you meant that as wit, but just thought a real perspective would be interesting.
