Honestly it sucks both ways, i don't want to be a nuisance on my trainer with my insane snoring, in the Army in those legendary 8 man bays i used to take all of my shoes and place on bed to chuck at snorers all night ;O)

 

Me too. But before I get back into this, I will hit up a surplus store to get a sleep system for the truck. I am going company no need for sheets and all that. One duffle with my clothes and pillow and a sleep system. I am right outside Ft hood so shouldn't be a problem getting one.

Where do you plan on sleeping when you would be using that? The trucks have bunk heaters as well as a separate climate control system for the sleeper. The bunk heaters are notorious for being unable to control the temperature, I used 2 wool blankets to keep comfortable. I'd start with one and when I got too cold I'd turn up the heater and pull up the second blanket. And do the reverse when I got too hot. You're going to idle when the temperature gets below 15° and the regular heater is more accurate than the bunk heater
And if you're thinking of sleeping outside you're going to be disappointed at best. Even if you use a hammock to get up and away from the dog piss.

 

They are easy to set up even in the truck. I will have to do a refresher with a trainer as well. And hey, you never know if that bunk heater goes out, you got back up. They also have three separate bags for various temperatures. They are versatile, comfortable, and they work.

 

Aw man really? I used to love getting their catalogs in the mail.

I agree, the catalogs were great but how often did we order stuff? Not enough to keep them in business apparently. Something for all of us to keep in mind as we shovel our dollars to our low cost overlords, WalMart and Amazon.
