The clc lodging is only certain motels but you won't have to pay for anything Mostly it comes down to places where you can park the truck at or nearby.
If you've been driving any newer equipment you'll hate the trucks. Loud and uncomfortable compared to new trucks. I believe the newest equipment is 2010ish.

When hauling cars would I have to wait to unload the cars ? What I mean is like when a driver gets to a consignee they have to wait for a dock and wait to get unloaded .

Nope. The dealer will likely have receiving hours, but many allow you to drop after hours. With rare exceptions, they're glad to see you.

So if you get to dealer and there happens to be another truck or two unloading, that usually just means having to park a bit further away from where you'll park the cars. In other words, a bit more walking. Worst case is having to wait until the other truck leaves.

I see . So let me see if I understand what I’ve been told thus far . So if I can get passed working in brutal weather . Be able to load/unload the cars safely and in a timely manner, don’t get caught up in the union politics , go to work and do my job I should be ok and make decent $ ?

I know the union steward there. There isn't any real drama. He's a good guy, you'll like him. Just take your time. They know it takes a while to figure it out so I doubt anyone there is going to be rushing you. You'll make excellent money even as a new guy. The benefits are just as they said. In no time you'll be making the same kind of money as guys that have been there 20 years. The more flexible you are with hometime, the more ability to make money you'll have. They'll let you run. That is pretty unusual for a union car hauling terminal.
