Well here is the thread i posted about it.
I have a 2015 tripac evolution.. Control panel works - go to start it up, the buzzer and fuel pump go to prime to start and about the time the starter goes to fire off - it shuts down and throws an alt code with red triangle...
I am completely lost with this.. Maybe a bad ground to starter ? I have changed alternators multiple times. Tried 120 amp, tried 65 amp...65 amp is what came off and the one i have in there now. Checked all fuses, all are good.. Have 12.6 volts to sense wire on plug as well as same voltage inside the box... I have plugged into my laptop and it wont show any codes...
Anybody have any idea where i should start
Tripac apu alt code no start

When you get the red triangle shut down, does one of the system icons light up?
Think they are Eng, Alt, and AC.singlescrewshaker, Feedman, CAXPT and 4 others Thank this. -

Sure sounds like a bad connection. You can check voltage when the unit is about crank to confirm this.I never worked on the evolution tripac, but the first generation had this problem and it was the ground strap which on those units was bolted to one of the starter mount bolts. We had to install a larger cable but yours might just be a bit loose. If you haven't checked that yet then give it a pull and see.If tight, remove and clean up connections and make sure if they are soldered connections they are rock solid.singlescrewshaker, jamespmack, CAXPT and 4 others Thank this.

That is what I was thinking as well. I did have to install new ground straps and they go into that starter mount bolt. Maybe It is just a bad ground there.. I will work at it tomorrow and see what happens... Where would I check voltage at when it's about to crank over ? on the power at back of the alternator or voltage at the starter ?singlescrewshaker, jamespmack, CAXPT and 3 others Thank this.

Also check the wire harness, they have a penchant for corrosion and vibration wearing on the insulation.

I would check it right on the starter first. You could just jump the starter to and if it doesnt crank then you know you got it.singlescrewshaker, jamespmack, CAXPT and 3 others Thank this.
