I don’t see how this correlates to what I posted. By your logic all these people who are bragging about making over a 100 grand a year are the real go getters. Some may be.
I however think most are full of ####! Because all the people that I know who are really at the top of their game generally keep their mouth shut.
Is this good pay?? What are you guys making… these are NET paystubs after taxes and 401k contributio

In the end it comes down to if you trust your source or not. I don’t trust any of you. Why would I? I don’t know you. And people lie. But, I’m just a bitter old man apparently. Beat down by the ways of the world.
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
You might be right on that aspect
Sorta like the guy who says he is tough. The quiet guy is usually a much bigger issue
So I give you that but I also believe there are those who just get the job done and at some point recognized for itBitcoinBuddha, Another Canadian driver and Jubal Early Times Thank this. -
Yes you are. Because I’ve seen you around and you’re not driving someone else’s truck.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

I agree. There are “go to” guys. And they will always do better than the guys who just do enough to get by.Another Canadian driver and GYPSY65 Thank this.

I think with OP hitting his 1-year mark and wanted to know if his pay was on par with others that do flatbed. I do not think the point was to validate, rather it was "this is my first company and contract for school repayment is up, are they paying me a fair rate or should I be looking to move on". If we look through posts how many drivers advise that once you hit your year move on to something better. OP was following that advice, if OP was not getting the average pay, I would have called on chinatown, or told him the places I am looking at. He is getting a fair first year driver rate from the research I have been doing for myself. Sure, OP could have phrased it as "am i getting paid within the industry average for flatbed", and many would have understood the question better. But in reality, it is just easier and shorter to ask, "is this good", and that is how many ask the question as opposed to comparing standards.BitcoinBuddha, Another Canadian driver, Jubal Early Times and 1 other person Thank this.

My favorite is the 2-3 billboards in a row on I-10 near El Paso that say $.60 a mile on one, then on the 2nd one says drivers earn $104k a year. That’s like 173k milesBitcoinBuddha, Another Canadian driver and Jubal Early Times Thank this.
