All I know if I stand in a forrest its cool. It has activity from the leaf litter on the forrest floor to the tree tops with insects and animals. The leaves slow the rain and allow it to absorb into the earth.

If I stand in a cleared paddock, its a fair bit warmer and I can feel the humidity off the grass. It may have a few spiders, butterflies, or bees but nothing generally breeds, eats, or sleeps there. The water tends to flow over the grass once it reaches saturation point and contributes to flooding and erosion.

If I stand in a dirt, bitumen, or concrete car park, its hot. So hot its hard to stay there under the sun. Nothing exists there except possibly for a crow eating chip that has been discarded by a human. Water just flows into creeks, building quickly and guessing out to sea. Yes this is natural button volumes that are not. Don't forget al the roads and roof tops we have built.

Since 1800 with the agricultural revolution humans have been cutting down forrests for paddocks in good volumes.
Since the 1900s the industrial revolution began with the burning of fossil fuels at levels never seen before in humanities existence.
Population has been enjoying the fruits of its success going from 1 billion in 1800, to 8 billion in 2022.

Now I'm no scientist, but my logic says to me given volcanic eruptions are not a hugely regular event, then perhaps the humans may have some impact on the planet. The rest to me is just noise, but having a crack at trying to have less impact makes sense to me.

It takes 8 x 8m high trees roughly to keep a human breathing fresh air for 365 days. That doesn't include the trees required to compensate all their consumption and existence since birth. A simple Q is how many trees has one planted in their life.

I tend to think climate science is not so wrong in the long run. And if its not perfect well that's science. Medical science does that all the time but people generally accept it as the way forward.

Good thing that people are still investing in R & D.

Brushing aside your criticism regarding the frequency of volcanic eruptions which offers no baseline to judge it against the impact of volcanic eruptions are significant. Two back to back volcanic eruptions that occurred directly before the dark ages filtered the sun globally for more than a year causing a two degree Celsius temperature drop on earth. The years following produced some of the most visually stunning sunsets and a chronological comparison of European art over that time period shows the dramatic nature of it's effects.

Beyond a doubt, yes, absolutely yes... but not through policies that imprison the poorest populations of this planet in unnecessary suffering by limiting their ability to catch up to modern civilization's standard of living.

Science is a process not a conclusion so your attributing an end state to a phenomenon such as the study of climate is at odds with the very method.

A large part of your observation that you outlined in this post suffers from a lack of scaling and giving inaccurate weight to the variables that shape climate. Just having "feelings" isn't justification for the actual suffering these policies born of this situation impose on other lives far away in a distant land. Solutions should be implemented on the same scale as the current understanding of the problem.

May as well not even exist. But the kids today might like it, all they do is sit around and play video games all day anyways.

Yes well I did say I'm no scientist. So I'm all ears.

Looking forward to your in-depth and detailed explanation with citations on how humanity can solve poverty, including the poorest nations, climate change (if real), and how renewables have a role. Or actual proof its all a hoax and fossil fuels are having no effect what so ever. You seem pretty confident.

Quite a few Teslas around here anymore. I'm not sure if our state has figured it out yet either.

There is a gentleman that frequents this forum occasionally who is involved in testing hydrogen fuel cell trucks both here and in Europe. I believe the safety concerns have been mitigated.

It would seem that air quality issues would favor electric vehicles in high population density areas, but the range challenges might prohibit them for long haul compared to other options.

What does being a scientist have to do with it?

Last I checked we're all truckers kicking around ideas. I kicked at your idea and it doesn't seem to support it's own weight.

I'll let all the self deluded world savior types who act like they have some magical gift of orchestrating humanity into utopia provide your in depth detailed explanations with citations to all of the worlds problems that you request.

In the meantime I'll hold true to my values and continue in my respect, defense, and absolute awe of the amazing spirit, determination, and ingenuity of people all across this world who shape it for the better often in spite of governments, do gooders, and all other types of white livered fragrant man swine.

If anyone has an incentive to replace fossil fuels with something else it is the Western European countries, Japan, and other population centers that have energy needs but no natural resources.
They have been trying to get away from finite fossil fuels for upwards of a hundred years. And with the exception of nuclear power, which has been removed from the equation, have gotten almost nowhere.

But there are these pesky laws that always gets in the way. The laws of physics. And because it is a very complicated subject that can be manipulated in explanation to the masses, all sorts of people in power, politicians and businesses who stand to benefit do so.

I am no fan of Michael Moore. But his documentary "Planet of the Humans" does the best job so far of explaining how that manipulation is occurring and the real end game that has to occur to succeed. It is so counter to the left climate change narrative that Google puts a misinformation disclaimer on it.
A disclaimer on a video from possibly the most left leaning movie maker on earth. Let that sink in.
