I have recently obtained my hazmat & tanker endorsement. I've been applying at for tanker jobs and I’m hitting a brick wall due to my license being suspended over 3 years ago.

Is this something that is going to hinder me? This has not been a problem in the past with me applying for dry van, reefer, and flatbed jobs.

What was it suspended for and what have the companies you applied to said to you about the suspension. I take it you told them on your application.
There are companies who will give you an opportunity depending on what the suspension was for. Apply to those companies. All the best along your journey

happened to me (it’s how I found this website) had to go otr for about 30 days… I mean NOBODY would hire me (not even swift)…. Went to western express expecting the worse (having to be there for 6 months) ….after asking me to do something unsafe and refusing, got fired, flew home (no greyhound thank you very much lol), went to Reddaway (a YELLOW company, stayed 4 years, used that union healthcare insurance to have my daughter then went to haul cryo)

my license was suspended for 5 years …. This place is a wealth of knowledge, also the search function is your friend.

not going to ask what you were suspended for, just know that if you have your license back: there IS work for you…. Tanker jobs though (right after a suspension) might not be the easiest thing to do…. 9-12 months doing LTL work should do the trick.

I might add: I’ve never been in an accident in 26 years, (I GOAL),I Float, and I can put a trailer anywhere the average person can put a large suv.

    good luck driver.

When Krajack sold I went to a container carrier and had a major adjustment because NONE of the owner operators I processed [to keep 165 units the first 3 years turnover was 167, 166, 165] would have been hired under the tanker's insurance.
