Anyone have any info on when the whole Flying J/Pilot thing is supposed to take affect? I'm wondering how the rewards cards will work. Will we be able to redeem Pilot points/showers at Flying J? We don't fuel at Flying J simply because they don't take Comdata but once they start accepting it(assuming they should since Pilot bought them), I imagine we'll be able to fuel there. Just not sure how it's all gonna work and when it's supposed to happen. Any idea anyone? Thanks.

I only ask cuz the few times I've paid cash for a shower at Flying J, they've usually been really nice showers so I'm looking forward to being able to shower there for free. Lol.

I was at the Fargo J last week and they told me the merger was not going through.
I have not found anything to support this, but will be going back through on Monday and see what they say this time.simplyred1962 Thanks this. -
I had read an article on the web a while back stating that the merger had already happened sometime last year. But haven't been able to find anything about when the actual changes are taking place. But seeing several J shops converting to Boss shops tells me it is happening. I know that I-65 exit 240 J in Hebron, IN has a sign saying its shop is changing to Boss shop. Who knows? Anytime I ask someone at a J or Pilot about it, they have no clue.
kaiwren986 and simplyred1962 Thank this. -
The target effective date was April 1 of 2010.

Here in PA Dec 1st was supposed to be the magic date for decisions about what was going to happen to the restaurants, in some places things changed, or are about to, but nothing at others.

I was talking to the manager at the Lake Point, UT "J" last week. she told me the deal was pretty much sunk...not outright gone, but sinking fast.
Evidently, Pilot wanted the whole kit and kaboodle, but "J" ownership got a burr under the saddle with an offer from Sapp Bros., seems Sapp wants to get the franchised properties (Spokane, WA..Battle Mountain, NV...and some others...and Pilot didn't want to get just a majority piece.
So negotiations are kind of stuck. From a managers mouth, whatever credence you want to give to this info is up to you all. -
Could the sale of this refinery make the sale of the travel centers not necessary ?
