I hope you can one day become the man you used to be and I will not slam you on this thread either but just know if you do get back to your old self it will have to be with someone new. I refuse to our children through this type of emotional stress again ever in there life. I do give you credit for the way things went down this morning I really thought crap would start and I am happy it didn't happen that way. I will see you when you drop the truck back off on Sunday hope you have a happy drunk weekend!

 

Sitting here in Green Bay. Completed lamb run. Received another meat run. This one to Maryland and New Jersey. WHAT?! Received enroute previous delivery from the evening crew. My DM was not happy, but I Mac 11'd. What is the recourse when it is not your regular DM? and you aren't happy with the assignment due to lack of time?

You need to talk, and if in PMs here is the only way to get it out without a fight, then you need to do it that way.
This life is hard.
For a person that loves someone it is very very hard.
You have too much time to think. So every little thing will eat at you for hours and days, because you have nothing else to think about.
Every little detail will crimp your trust. No matter how small, or how much you really trust the person.
The only way to fix it is talking. In person works much better is the problem. That way you can see emotions and expressions.
You have to trust and have faith though. It is key. And as soon as your doubts start to eat at you, get on the phone and fix it.
Even if it is just for a night before you can talk about it. That can be too long on a 8+ hour drive. That is just way to much time with that little thing eating at you and becoming a big thing.

I am lucky in a way I guess and not in others.
I know my wife will not cheat, but it is in a childish way. I know she does not really enjoy the things that she would cheat to do. Never has, those things are painful to her.
This is good in a physiological way, since I know she will not cheat. Bad in the way that I want to do those things, and she does not.
Anyway. That was too a little to much info, and I will not erase it because it is important.
This is the only reason I do not have doubts eating at me all the time. I am a rather jealous person by nature. With a rather low self esteem at times. I married her because I knew she would not cheat. So I have to deal with the good and bad in it.

The point is, again.
As soon as a small scab of an issue in a relationship comes up when on the road, you have to talk about it immediately. It cannot wait like in normal life.
If it waits it will be picked at for hours and fester.

 

By the way.
I do not mean to emply in that that anyone is cheating on anyone.
That is just the one thing that ate at me allot, was worry about that with people I dated before my wife.
Any little thing can eat at you with enough time to think about it though.

 

1Bad, I would hope that you can actually see what the source of your problems are. It's not trucking or body shop work or selling insurance or whatever. There are guys and gals who are on the road and work out their problems...well before a crisis comes knocking. Trust me crisis always comes knocking.

What is the lack of time? Is it that you don't have the hours or is it a planning thing?

Either way... Before you Mac11 you need to do the math to 1) see if it is doable(?) and 2) do you have the hours to deliver on time.

If there is a problem you let them know before you mac11 it, if they don't unassign it, remind them (on quailcomm of course) of why you can't del according to the plan but you will p/u and suggest (strongly) that they search out a re-power or get a new appointment time.

Also, at anytime during the run you feel that you won't make the 99 on-time, mac1 on the quailcomm the reason why.

This is why I primarily use the ETA function of my GPS.

 

i think a lot of our problem is that the stress of the road and im a real high strung individual any way. add in the pressure of ontime del,e logs and a governend trk it can make for a ticking time bomb and i exploded on widow over something thats been brewing between us for a long time. but i wish her no ill will and i do beleive that once this is over we will still be good friends with each other. weve known each other way to long that their will always be a friendship there.

So ya.. I got my p/u from idaho today.. Heading to omaha for monday.. A nice, relaxed and easy run.. Even got a 34 in.. And ill still be able to hit 2200 this week.. I know a lot of you think 2200 isn't a lot.. But at my payscale and tax ways.. It makes me close to 550.. And we can live pretty good off 550 a wk..

I am able to spend v-day with my lady since she's with me.. So I'm gunna see if I can't do something special.. Hey boot.. If ya got the time.. Pm me your #.. I think you could keep an interesting conversation going buddy.. If nuttin else.. Atleast we can chat about our w9s..
