Algae will usually show up in the filter, when spun off, it’ll be floating on top. Looks like black slime floaties.

The fuel in the bowl is normal color, I can see through it pretty easy and doesn't seem to be dark. When I pulled the filter out there was a black "slime" on the bottom of the filter housing but the fuel itself looked to be normal.

It has a davco filter housing, when I spun the bowl off and removed the filter I didn't see any floaties but there was a slime on the bottom filter housing.

went thru that same thing a year ago. trk set for a few months and no power, boost fine. went to napa and got 2 bottles of algeacide and put in a half tank. called the number on the algeacide bottle and they said it was fine to overdose and it would only work faster. 350 miles later had to replace 2 fuel filters and by the time i had 500 miles on it the power was back. another new filter and it was back to normal. my truck told me dont let me sit around.
