I have a carrier 2500A it’s not locked in start stop mode but won’t cut off once it reaches set temp

    What are the volts on the battery? If they are not at least 12.6 volts, it won't cycle off and on.

    That may be the case, but if the volts are not at least 12.6 it won't cycle. That's the first place I would start.
