Mary kitchen has both corned beef and roast beef hash.
Back when the cans had the same type of ends, where you could use an opener on them, would put them in the fridge for a bit, then open both ends, push the “log” out and slice into patties.

Yeah, it had that kind of can. Maybe next time I'll give that a try.

Maybe put the can in the fridge overnight to firm it up a bit, make slicing easier.
