Also what kind of rate did you take from KC to Denver. Hopefully you got enough to dead head out as they are never worth doing anything from that area.bzinger, Kenworth6969, Rideandrepair and 1 other person Thank this.

I got $1800 from Home to KC and then $2200 to Denver. I have family near Denver so I don't mind waiting to find a load. I usually find good money going toward Phoenix or SLC and anywhere into MT. Every now and then to Laredo. I like to run into Portland if there's something available and then work my way to WI or PA before turning south towards the house.dwells40, Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this.

I just noticed you're in KC...did I underbid that? Or is $2200 a fair rate from KC to Denver right now?Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this.

That is the easy going rate without neg. it.Rideandrepair and rch10007 Thank this.

Seems to be plenty of loads posted. Much better than I would expect, given the rates. I can only wonder if there’s just a lot of Truck capacity still available. I hope you’re right. Volume is supposedly up 2% from a year ago. No shortage of shoppers out today. Every store parking lot we saw was packed. Even Lowe’s and Home Depot. Hopefully the supposedly high inventories will drop down. Meanwhile I doubt people will stop spending. Good for the economy, bad for inflation? Can we have both? Big sales on over priced goods. Makes me wonder. Some of the price increases I’m seeing are 50%. I guess it’s hit and miss. Looks like price gouging to me. Whatever’s really going on, the market will decide one way or another. We have no control over it. I’d like to see a holiday surge. I think it’s too late in the year already. Never know, I’ve seen a couple years when freight was up in January. They blamed it on Amazon etc. mail order returns. Economists are usually wrong. If they really knew anything, they’d use their insight to become rich. Instead they’re usually poor. Lol.

I hope I’m wrong, but I believe unemployment is coming globally. A year ago we fought to get people back to work. I think by mid next year it will be the other way around. With less money there will be less need for all the goods people have been buying. Lots of unemployed coming to China. Maybe unrest over there? Home building, furniture, and tech are laying off. I know it’s crazy, but I have the feeling Car lots are going to be full. Already new van trailers are unsold inbound or at a few trailers are on the lot. More flatbed trailers are listed for sale too. I also have the feeling fuel is going to come down considerably. I’m putting away money to buy trailers. Just got to be patient. How is this change going to impact me? I have no idea… but I am up for a challenge.Last edited: Nov 26, 2022
