A semi tractor-trailer crashed into a parked fire truck on I-94 a 3:34 a.m. 2/6/10. The fire truck was blocking the right lane and the shoulder at the scene of a vehicle fire. The semi driver was taken to the hospital by helicopter. The fire engine is considered "totaled".

Thats michigan for ya...So glad I moved out of that state...The truck driver is in good hands, thats the same place my late husband was at and they will do all they can for him.

who knows what the driver was doing or... what... make sure YOU move over for any vechicle that is sitting on the shoulder or in the lane.... fire truck, car, motorcycle or atleast slow down if you cannot move over due to traffic. I see many truckers in the NE just blowing by stopped trucks/cars just inches away.... not right. Its the law in many states!!

There are many possibility here, He may of moved over, Michigan has been cutting back on road clearing. They will only plow the right side on most of the freeways now, He may of moved over into the unplowed area and lost control, I have run in to that myself and it is hard to keep that trailer straight when it gets into the unplowed section.
