Yeah, that sucks, I used to park there all the time on a regular run down to Houston..but I usually went in and asked them if I could park there. If not...I moved on. If that couple were doing their own thing not on behalf of Walmart, well...I usually carried my own air and power tools that I would have had no compunction using on their illegal restraint device. If they were acting on their own...there is a little law of Illegal restraint that could end them in jail if someone wants to take the time. :)

That sucks that you got booted, but there are about a million parking options going down 59, and all those truck stops always have parking, particularly the farther south you go.

Actually I was headed north and I needed to shop which is why I stopped there.

I started this thread mainly to inform others, and keep in mind this spot was not booting people earlier this year so just trying to help others not get caught up. I’m fortunate in that I could afford the fine and thought I never like separating with money lol, it’s all good.

Now if I can help put a hurtin on their business, well then I’m just fine with that :)

Hey I totally appreciate it, it wasn't too long that I actually stopped there and took a nap, and then had to change a fuel filter there when the truck acted up lol. I've noted that Walmart on my "Do Not Stop List."

The best solution to this would be if all truck drivers stopped delivering to Walmart's that don't comply with the old Sam Walton's policy of letting truckers park there. Local communities that don't want the parking at the Walmart's should lose that Walmart and the goods that get delivered there by trucks.
But, considering the outlaw nature of trucking, that won't be happening soon. :)

Mmmmmm......I'm not on board with boycotting deliveries to Walmart. I don't agree with truckers boycotting services for any reason. It ain't the greater good. Truckers really ought to check egos sometimes. There are still a lot of locations that allow parking, particularly east of Kansas City. Walmart banning trucks from parking at their stores isn't them being pricks. Industry wide, we haven't done ourselves any favors. Drivers have trashed the lots, tore up property, and all kinds of things. On a bigger note, Americans count on truck drivers to deliver what they need. Boycotting Walmart deliveries, I don't want to bring the country down like that. I think that's un-American. Many people already have a disdain for truckers, and what would pour gas on that fire more than boycotting deliveries?

The best solution is don't park at Walmart stores that are posted with no truck parking signs. I don't blame Walmart one bit for not wanting trucks parked there.
