One Idea:
Back up clothing. Shower after murders, wrap clothes in a few bags, clean up shower, split that scene, dispose of bags some number of miles away, maybe start a well planned forest fire or other type distraction, then amble away........back to the murder zone area and watch as well chat up some folks at an eatery.

Who's ever really Certain about Who anyone is in an Eatery being visited on some road somewhere?

Since no one apparently has any description, murderer could easily be walking around the town streets and who would ever know?!

People have escaped prosecution for KIDNAPPINGS, RAPES, MURDERS, CANNIBALISM and other DARK ACTIVITIES for CENTURIES, so how are such activities a surprise?!
