I guess they already know their Final destination is hamburger heaven.. I guess they figure they are gonna take me or anybody else in their sights with them.. I keep a real close eye on them when I take em for their final rideLast edited by a moderator: Nov 30, 2022

Recently a good friend & I had the conversion.. About pulling in to a dim lite sale barn at 1 am and calling the load out hand to tell him your fixing to load.. and he tells ya ..Ok I'll be there in a 15 mins .. and he says .. watch that red cow in pen#... "she's for real" ..
And inevitably he happens to show up about 10 mins after you had a 20 min battle with her and finally got her on your wagon
I swear them yard hands have a 6th sense about em.. that they know when its safe to show up -

I been asked many times how do I get into cattle hauling then they give me a funny look when I ask why you want do that? If it’s for stretched out large cars cow truck lights and chrome livin an outlaw life well this ain’t for you. You gotta have a passion for these creatures enjoy working with them and always have a gate. They ain’t man hunters it’s simple fight or flight your in their way. Nothing like a newborn calf up and well that wasn’t born yet on the load end. It’s not for money though we gotta have a certain amount of it. It’s not a job a lifestyle but a calling. If you are in it for anything else the odds of getting hurt or worse is a lot #### higher. 2 hands lost their life in their trailer this week another a few months ago on a curvy road. Both this week because they were scared of em the one earlier this because he was stupid.
I never set out to be or do anything other than provide for my family. It’s not a big deal or cool or anything like it. Boys you waller in cowshit and it gets every where how is that glamorous. If your heart ain’t in it your head won’t be either don’t take that chance. It ain’t all feeders and baby milk.260REM, austinmike, D.Tibbitt and 15 others Thank this.
