Yes, I left my paid for car in my home's garage while I worked on the other side of the country for 14 months. I had a family member drive my car every week or two while I wasn't using it. I should have sold the car before I went out West, so now I am dealing with minor issues caused from sitting so long. Using Lyft/Uber is a solid alternative if the areas you will be needing a car have those services.

I agree with you. It's failry easy to get by without your car, but it's more hassle and you don't have as much control over your transportation. Having our car is the most convenient option, by far.

    I don't have one.

Did have a dodge ram but sold it a few years ago after it spent a few years parked at my mother's house rarely being drivin since it was too big for her and I was on the road for 4-6 months at a time.

I own one of these. I cannot recommend one of these enough if you’d like to get off the truck once in a while and go to restaurants or do grocery shopping or whatever else. Mine even has headlight and a tail light so I can ride it at night. The thing absolutely flies too. Folds up and I keep it in the corner of my sleeper. Mine has a range of about 30 miles per charge, and will cruise at around 20 mph. All those places that were out of reach before? I can get to them in minutes!
One thing I will warn about though, is if you use one of these to go out for drinks or whatever, you can get a DUI on one, so don’t use it to bar hop. In most states you can get a DUI on a bike, sometimes people forget that.

How do you charge it, I've tried the inverter thing but could'nt get it to work. Probably something I did wrong
Charger works fine when plugged into the wall or a generator.

Jeep, truck and motorcycles are paid for. Insurance with a 50 year safe driving record and a 800+ credit score is cheep.
Park them all in the garage on a battery tender and alternate running them when home. Dont forget to add some fuel treatment no issues at all

What type of lock do you use, such as if you're going into a store to buy something; do you use a chain lock.
Do you have a tracking device hidden on it in case it is stolen, you can quickly find it?

This one looks good, but it's not a folding bike.
