How funny will it be when everyone will get electric vehicles and then it will be more expensive to operate than fuel vehicles.Another Canadian driver, Kairen0001 and JoeyJunk Thank this.

Well in California it is, even for some who have grid connected solar systems.
At this point in the life of the internal combustion engined cars back in 1902, the same exact comments were made than about ICE cars that are being made about EVs.Another Canadian driver and 86scotty Thank this. -
I think battery powered cars were before gas car if memory serves.Bean Jr., trucknguy, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this.

Welcome to the world of having an odd ball truck, it's a blast when your dealer network is non existent.

Does an electric semi truck have to file with IFTA lol??? Goodbye fuel and taxes.
Electric cars pay no gas tax, can't wait to see what they come up with to replace that system hahaAnother Canadian driver and O.Henry Thank this. -
They still use and wear on the road. Likely there will be something soon to cover that.Another Canadian driver and JoeyJunk Thank this.

I'm sure they will someday.
Tesla cars have been nicely avoiding "gas taxes" for a decade now lol. Yet they still use the roads.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
The supply of electricity is limited. More and more electric vehicles will strain an already overburdened system. The guy at our local water plant was telling me how every time the temp drops down around 15* here TVA tells all the water plants to use their generators instead of electricity to prevent blackouts. Does that inspire confidence in you that electricity will remain cheap in the foreseeable future? It doesn't me.Bean Jr., Geekonthestreet, Another Canadian driver and 4 others Thank this.

That's exactly what's going to happen. The early adopters are enjoying a tax free ride and super cheap charge ups. That'll never last. As the green weenies would say it's unsustainable. California with their constant rolling blackouts during the summer has banned the internal combustion engine in, was it 2035? Crazy.Bean Jr., Another Canadian driver and JoeyJunk Thank this.
