I am getting back on the road again after almost 2 years off. I drove for a little while after I graduated in 08 from a driving school but then I had to quit due to a family illness. I have always been in awe of the big trucks, my dad drove when I was young and I think it is in my blood. LOL After not driving for so long my company options are very few (Werner and CR England) I am leaning toward Werner because I can take my dog with me after training without haveing to lease a truck from them. I am looking forward to learning all I can from everyone and getting to know you all.

I have been looking now for several months and these are the only two companys that will take me and not make me go all the way through school again and let me have my dog with me after training. I figure I will try and make the most out of it until I can get some time on the road and then it will open more doors for me. I drove for a little over a month with Colonial Freight and they seemed like a really good company but then I had to leave due to a family illness.

Hi and welcome. I would say try a google search for companys. There are alot of sites you can go to and you can enter in presences such as your looking for companies where they allow pets. I'm on my iPod so I don't know exactly what sites you can look at but once I get to my computer if I can send messages on here I'll send em to you.

Hi guys thanks for the info. The problem I have run into is that I have not drove in over a year and a half and I only got to drive for a little more than a month before I had to quit because of family illness, my mom had a heart attack. All the other companys I have spoke with want me to go through school again and I am just not at a point were I can afford to pay for school again. As far as local companys they all want at least 6 months to a year of OTR before they will hire you.
