Not arguing with you but I know there have been citations issued in NM for that very thing. If remember their interpretation is no more than 1" slack. Picky? Yes. But since they are actually doing a lot of seat belt enforcement here now, I don't really want to have to let the court decide. I have been waiting to get stopped in the Mack I currently drive as all it has is a waist belt; no shoulder strap.

i wear the seat belt but i am allergic to the material. when it goes across my neck i break out in hives. i have tried to put different material between but it still doesn't help. i usually just tuck it up around the back of the seat and then pop it back over when "needed". i was wearing my seatbelt but i had my dod in a 2 door car that the seatbelt is situated too close tothe back seat, she lightened it to wher i was being choked so i flipped the latch just as the cop was passing through. my bad. but figured what the heck, now i watch when i take my sharie/pug mix dog with me anymore. overgrown lapdog.

Our company has bright yellow seatbelts now on all of our new trucks. Makes it easier to spot if compliant. Not sure if that is at the company request, or if the truck manufacturer changed it. Thought it was interesting none the less.

that must be a company request i have seen new trucks and they are still standard issue black. i used to build ups fed ex trucks and they are still standard as well up to last year.

I have been a commercial truck driver since age 21. I had my chaueffeur's license before class license even existed. I have never had one chargeable accident in a commercial or personal vehicle. I have never had a DUI. I have had 2 tickets in my entire driving career. One for a seat belt in a personal vehicle and one speeding ticket. I have had the non-pleasure of working for a couple of companies that were completely lost here recently about work ethics and company responsibility. I have been driving for 22 years now with a near perfect driving record. I had a minor felony( non-drug related) 13 years ago. Is it possible that my previous employer put something on my DAC report that is keeping me from finding a job? He was married and found out I started dating another driver he had the hots for! Could he be charged with entering false information on me after I voluntarily left employment there, and how can I find out if he in fact did? Any Ideas where I can find employment? I have been on unemployment since last March. There are NO local jobs where I live, and my unemployment is running out. HELP!!!!

You need to request a copy of your DAC report, though I believe they call themselves USIS, or at least they were last I looked. Go to usis.com and you can print out the form and fill it out and fax it or mail it. It'll take about two weeks to get the info back. If you left on less than excellent terms they could have put erroneous information on it, but you will know when you get your copy. If there's info that isn't correct, you can dispute it, might I add, good luck in this endeavor. But good luck to you anyway.Nitetrain1213 Thanks this.

Wha happens if a company doesn't respond in 30 days to a dispute on dac report ?

Thats a question you need to ask DAC. But whatever you put in the
rebuttal, the offending company will not remove what they put in your DAC report unless a Court tells them to remove it.
mema Thanks this.
