Don’t stop posting SSB. This is YOUR thread. If some don’t like it, they know where to go and what to do….unless they really are that dumb.

I have always understood your frustration. You want things a to be as good as the effort you put into them. I am the same way. I have commented a few times over the years I thought we were closely related.

Some of us don’t and won’t settle even if the world around us will. Some of us will be bullheaded till we drop dead. Nothing wrong with it. More people need to be that way. Maybe the world wouldn’t be so soft and effed up if people would have a backbone, a brain and a LARGE voice.

I can already list off the members who will come back at this post and I don’t really give a hoot. They are the people I believe weaken everything.

You be you. Don’t ever stop. Even if it takes you another 10 years to find what works for you. It will still be an accomplishment. Piss on everyone else’s opinion.

I fully believe you will be 100% correct on your early assumptions. I can’t think of one buyout or acquisition on TTR that has been praised. And if I missed one I guarantee there isn’t two.

I can’t think of any non trucking ones that have gone well either. My brother in law just went through one in the oilfield. He is middle management. They built him up on a large stack of fluff and lies and literally pulled the rug. Not one truth was told. Shut down his building. Lost A LOT of employees because the company moved over an hour away.

They did what all companies do. Positive lies and promises. Then the hammer comes down.

We're living in an age of declining integrity. Cold hearted Control Freaks have ascended. Vexation is unavoidable because we can sense the deterioration of our perception of freedom. The constant implementation of new control measures makes it crystal clear that we are viewed as untrustworthy peons.

I have more to say as this gets me really agitated. We all know how his threads will go. He vents. Whether or not you agree with what angers him is irrelevant. He knows what he wants and voices how it should be. Maybe some of you should take notes.

What kind of male Karen sits and waits till he has a blow up and comes in here just to say something like “ I knee this would happen. It’s what he always does. He’s never happy.” Yea…….no crap Einstein. At least he’s being real.

Would you particular few want an award at the annual TTR Conference?

Grown men saying I told you so. i just knew it like you are able to see something nobody can. Get a hobby. Find a new thread to spread all of your profound knowledge and intuition.

You don’t like how he is but you fall over yourselves to follow him and say the same crap over and over and over. Maybe Facebook is a better place for you.

Have you ever thought about doing cryogenics??… or even maybe the flatbed heavy equipment companies like United, h&e etc??… those pay pretty #### good and you can be home regularly to if you choose to go that route

I hope you keep posting whatever you do and wherever you end up. A lot of us love reading your insights and enjoy your sense of humor. And not just as "entertainment", but I guarantee a lot of us have learned from your trucking tips and experiences. From reading your exploits over the years, I honestly think you're a good, honest, hard working person. The majority of what I've read was you making things as efficient as possible for the company and yourself in kind. Sadly, in trucking that attitude is not shown the appreciation it deserves.

I always enjoyed reading his threads cause I can always get some extra insight from another more experienced driver on here. As a guy that’s going into his 30’s I still have much to learn about this industry and @supersnackbar has been one I can get insight from his threads

Hell, I’ve been at this racket 43 years, learned my way around the 5 boroughs as a 22 year old kid. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t glean some useful information from his postings. Dude needs to stick around.

Well I hope we didn’t scare @supersnackbar off, there was quite a bit of dog piling. I’m guilty and I apologize.

so far nothing has happened yet, but the farther I look into the situation, the less positive I am.

I think Wylie also swallowed up J Grady Randolph, JGR. They haul Double T’s and other large concrete structures, and recently started hauling large mining tires.
This sure looks like a JGR truck with Wylie on the door. 01F554C5-64FC-45D1-97D1-074651D4B91D.jpeg
    and here’s a Wylie truck with a double T. 5A94E313-402B-442A-A7F1-88AE99668D82.jpeg
There is no mention of JGR (a former Daseke company) on Daseke’s website, and their webpage redirects to Wylie’s. JGR-inc.com.

Time will tell, I’ll keep you all updated as much as I can.

On a more current note. I was planning on taking today off since I can travel in Alabama on Sunday. Well I slipped through the cracks and as of 445 pm Friday I didn’t have any permits. So I had to go through Tn because AL doesn’t auto issue permits. Knocked out 683 miles today, light load and heading east to west helps a lot this time of year.
