On 5 axles I’m allowed 104K here in WV, but only 96K on the same 5 axles in KY. And only 48K on tandems with a 6 axle setup in KY…

It’ll be well over 67,000 Ritchie specs ain’t worth a ####. It’ll be between 80 and 86,000. https://dizv3061bgivy.cloudfront.net/mmc-assets/pdfs/lectura/caterpillar/336el/336e_l_en(75b).pdf

I have never had one less than 72,000 with no bucket. And like wise I have never had one over 86,000 with big bucket, QC, thumb and cab brush guard with big tracks. The 60” bucket is probably going to be 80,000 and the one with The QC is going to be around 82.

Yes I’ve seen conflicting weights on these things. Owner is saying he has some on his yard and they are between 67-70,000 lbs. Maybe he is using a different scale I don’t know.
I know the lizard truck I hauled for him up out of Panther, WV was suppose to be 61,455 lbs. Morning after I got it to my place he called, told me this was one of the trucks that had a 1” thick steel liner plate in the bed, and the specs on the computer will not show it. He said it should be around 67-68,000 which would have had me at around 101,000 for that lizard truck on 5 axles.
He’s wanting me to do more of this heavy stuff for him, but I’m thinking I may need a different truck and more axles lol, I have the power to pull it, truck is just not setup for that…. -
He doesn’t have a 336 that weighs that. I’ve hauled a thousand of them. He might have a 330 but not a 336. I doubt very seriously you will be able to scale it with a tandem truck. Especially with a short neck. The only chance you have is to haul it backwards with the counter weight over the tail, and I don’t believe you have enough well to do it that way. Another issue you will have is No boom trough. You are going to be tall with it. You will have to run it all the way back and set the bucket on the tail.
Phoenix Heavy Haul, cke, CAXPT and 3 others Thank this. -
I’m not even sure you can get a 330 that light.

Yes that’s been a issue on my mind as well. This 50 ton was setup to haul a long reach excavator, and has a boom perch mounted on the neck. And you mentioned the short neck… the neck on this trailer is shorter than my 35 ton sadly….cke, CAXPT, singlescrewshaker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Just for comparisons sake here is a 336F we recently hauled they're a chunk.
