Pilot madera ca..trash all over the parking lot

Kind of looks like someone been digging around through each trash can looking for cans to recycle.

 

Makes you wonder why towns lobby so hard to keep truck stops out of their jurisdiction.

 

That belongs to Pilot

 

one of several things could have happened...

1) wild animals (the 4 legged type), raccoons, bears(?), homeless dogs

2) the weather, maybe a strong wind/storm went thru there

3) kids walking by and kicked them over

4) homeless people looking for food

5) not enough employees' on duty to police the trash barrels.

 

Back when I was running cattle off the coast I used to park at this Pilot quite a bit. They had a non-smoking section for IdleAir and I’d hook up to it and go to sleep. 10 years ago the bums would be digging thru the garbage there looking for bottles to turn in. But at least back then they didn’t just dump the can over to get them.

Still looks 100 times better than the giant turd(no TP) I found between my truck and the truck next to me at the TA in Aurora, OR a week ago. That's the kind of thing that makes me want to go local.

 

If I was homeless and hungry, a truck stop trash can is the last place I'd be looking for food.
