we all just gonna keep pretending that a little baby bish ecoboost 2 cylinder ICE can't be the primary means of electric generation for a super capacitor buffered set of hub mounted traction motors

Yeah, of course it is. Goes well with those oversized aftermarket wheels that don't fit in the wheel wells, and the customized extended purple frame.

    Gas had the same problems.

Look at us now. 120 years later. Complaining over new technology. Again.

i am sure the transition from horse/bicycle to motorized gas vehicles was a big change. I wonder if the government pressure on ol Cowboy Bob to get rid of his horse was nearly as overpowering as it has ever been on Trucker Bob in California with the requirements there… or some of the absolute garbage government regulations that have or will be crammed down every truck owners throat or the average citizens throat as those that no doubt will eventually be required in the future.

You already know the answer to that question. Every year it gets a little more complicated. Every year we spend more time...and money... on regulatory compliance.
Every year we're increasingly hindered in our ability to make a living because of the "advances" that we have no voice in.
As technology becomes more complex the tools we're given to handle it are less effective.
I don't have any answers. I wish I did. I don't look for things to get any better any time soon.

Yes, they did. Check out the taxes cities we're levying on horses, carriages and wagons towards the end of the 19th century.

Look at how much governments spent to build the roads capable of handling cars (and building gas stations where there was little profit to be had).

Finally look at how much the US Army spent on trucks and cars between 1905 and 1915, not to mention the subsidies both France and Germany gave to truck purchasers on the basis that in war time the trucks would be "loaned" to the army.

I don't know what the taxes were. But I wonder what the daily cost was to keep the streets clean of horse sh**.
