POSITION DETAILS

• Assists in loading trailer with materials.
• Unloads trailer by using forklift or hand truck.
• Transports loads over required route to proper destinations.
• Obtains shipping bills and necessary signatures.
• Returns completed paperwork to the shipping office.
• Removes empty skids from trailer truck and carries them to designated piling area.
• Performs miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, gasoline and air in tires on a daily basis.
• Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
• Reliable and regular attendance is expected.

Dependable Line Haul drivers pull doubles while conducting meet and turns at predesignated locations. After swapping trailers, drivers usually return to their home terminals to end their shift. Occasional layovers may be required. This no touch, night shift position is ideal for those who prefer less traffic and more actual driving.

Try to graduate from cdl school learning to drive a stick shift. Some companies won't hire drivers that can only drive automatics. Your cdl license will show if you're restricted to driving automatics only.

 

If you show up to your CDL drive test in an automatic will they put a restriction on your license even if you can drive a manual?

 

You'll have to test in a stick shift. Some 3rd party outfits test right at the cdl school. Maybe some slack there.
