Stiff compared to What?
No offense but your still a rookie and might be comparing to something that isn't.
Ask a more experienced driver at a truck stop or a yard to give an opinion on it.
Brake in my current truck is much stiffer than my previous truck and I actually prefer it this way.
Also pump the brakes with engine off till you are sure there is nothing hindering free movement. As air pressure drops the pedal should start to travel with less resistance.

So long as it stops, you're good.
Hang in there, best wishes, and Merry Christmas (which you'll probably spend on the road.)
Find your happiness. That's what we do. Whether it's a good restaurant, a swell parking spot, or an easy unload.
Every day is a day with frustrations, delays, and ignorant load planners / dispatchers, and douche bags at the fuel island.
But every day has a kindness that you give to someone or someone gives to you.
Focus on that.bryan21384, JoeyJunk, Ktucker17 and 11 others Thank this. -
Appreciate it! Merry Christmas to you too. I'll be home this year for it since it falls on a weekend and that's my home time. Was gonna try to keep pushing tonight but I'm up in Massachusetts in the mountains and it's pretty windy so stopped for the night. Rather be safe than sorry. Proud of myself for getting back out here and smile at every person I come across. Someone is always having a worse daySpace Truckin, IH9300SBA, Lonesome and 6 others Thank this.

How are you doing out there?

I was wondering the same thing.

Hey, meant to pop in over the weekend but was busy with the celebrations. Everyone's advice has been helping a ton! I've been back in for a couple weeks now and have gotten the message across to my dispatcher that the more I run in the south the better it's gonna be for everyone. Unfortunately every week my truck has been in the shop for something so I either have a weak start or limp to the finish each week. Still have some sinking feeling moments but it's world of difference from a couple months ago. Generally can always keep around the speed limit except for when it's above the govern limit on the trucks. Still dislike mountains and bridges but I just focus on what I'm doing and breathe and then I'm typically through it before I start getting in my head. Thanks again everyone and hope you all had a great start to the new year. I'll keep everyone updated, just counting the day's til April now then I can finally be done with W.E.IH9300SBA, Constant Learner, Opus and 10 others Thank this.

Have you given careful consideration to who your next employer will be?Ktucker17 Thanks this.

Thinking over whether to go back to my old job for a bit or try out a lower class driving job or maybe something with the state. This company has driven me into debt and I need something consistent to get my money right again.Lonesome and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

I'd recommend LTL. The money is there out the gate with Estes & OLD DOMINION. We just got a big raise AGAIN. I think starting linehaul pay is .70 right out the gate at Estes. Top out is .77 home every night unless you're doing extra board. They make .80!Ktucker17 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

Welp having a great start to the morning, trying to get out of a receiver's parking lot in NY didn't judge my space correctly and hit someone's car
Lonesome and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.
