Can I replace my Volvo motor with a cummins?

I’m having problems with it starting. It cranks just fine thru a new set of batteries in it and still the same problem.

The question starts with the wiring harness. Why are you going away from the Volvo engine? A 2006 has probably served you well, and most likely the easiest thing to do is to replace with another Volvo power plant. Anything is possible, but the costs rise when changing out one engine for another make of engine. Maybe just easier to get a different truck. Prices are coming down.

you can not put older than 2005/06 motor legally, it has to be newer/equal than 2006 motor.
the cummins engine of that era (2004-09) were not that good, unless you **cough** **cough** **cough** Del **cough** lete **cough**1nicevette Thanks this. -
The only reason I would is that there are a lot more shops where I run that that do not work on Volvo so Incase of a big problem I’m almost forced to go to a dealer
