May a driver, who drops his or her last load at a receiver’s facility use personal conveyance
to return to their normal work location (i.e. home or terminal)?
No. Returning home or to the terminal from a dispatched trip is a continuation of the trip, and
therefore cannot be considered personal conveyancConstant Learner Thanks this. -
More than likely they contradict each other, it's the government after all.
But in what way?JoeyJunk Thanks this. -

Any clown that thinks that you don't have the right to use PC to go home when you're not advancing a load you were empty and you're just trying to take your 34 hour reset or just going home for a week or two weeks or however is nothing more than a green horn that you're not advancing alone you're not looking for a safe haven you just taking your ### home. You're not conducting any type of work or business dealings for your company you're literally just going home. Now that's different if you're out of state driving 5-6 hours deadheading but we're talking about not having to stay out of truck stop for a 10-hour reset so you can get started or what if you've ran completely out of time? Are you saying I got to sit at a truck stop for a 34 hours so I can do a full complete reset so I can go home? I don't think so! If you truly believe that is the law then you are super green and you got some driving to do

Read the links that were posted straight from the FMCSA website. I don’t agree with the rules but that’s what they are. I own my truck and run paper logs so I do what I need to do. Below is the off the FAQ’s on Personal Conveyance.
1. May a driver, who drops his or her last load at a receiver’s facility use personal conveyance to return to their normal work location (i.e. home or terminal)?
No. Returning home or to the terminal from a dispatched trip is a continuation of the trip, and therefore cannot be considered personal conveyance.
