Read the links that were posted straight from the FMCSA website. I don’t agree with the rules but that’s what they are. I own my truck and run paper logs so I do what I need to do. Below is the off the FAQ’s on Personal Conveyance.

No. Returning home or to the terminal from a dispatched trip is a continuation of the trip, and therefore cannot be considered personal conveyance.


Driving for a Chicago outfit is a greenhorn move. Driving for MULTIPLE Chicago outfits is just plain dumb.
